kat: we have GST already (7%), and in BC we also have the PST (7%, though it did enjoy a little stint at 7.5% earlier). Harper is promising to cut it down if he makes Prime Minister.

Not quite sure how he’s planning on improving health care and education and such at the same time, cause it’s not like you can have your cake and eat it too. But I guess that’s why he wants to pawn off all that responsibility and funding to the provinces.

Harper’s an idiot… the only people his GST plan will help are those that spend big bucks every year… they should be focusing their surplus on the low to mid income earners and cut income tax… at least Paul and Jack are on the ball…
