Also I think u can have one if u live on a farm (i am not sure about specs for this though).
we have a policy where u can hand your gun (and any other illegal weapons) in to the police station- i dont think they buy it back though.
we still have murders, but I dont know if we have less per capita comapred to USA or any other country- i have not my homework like u.
