so tonight i finally went out with my neighbours… and as a result i have learned a very valuable life-lesson.. ‘get to know your neighbours as soon as you move somewhere new’… knock on their door.. do whatever.. just determine if they are kool or not asap… kuz umm… helen and john are pretty kool neighbours.. and well, they are moving back to england on tuesday.. so ummm…. yeah.. i have missed out on a lot of possible good times… and ummm… lets just say i have hopefully learned my lesson…
also tonight… i talked (IM-style) to crissy for, i guess it was, hours… even though it seems like it was just minutes… our conversation at times was aided by the use of handy props like santa hats, reindeer antlers and sunglasses… but yeah, as usual we managed to entertain ourselves… since all these crazy antics we partake in always keep our relationship interesting, entertaining, and quite eventful, even though it remains wholly online…
anyways, i hope my new neighbours are kool.. even tough i have a sneaking suspicion that they won’t be.. and that they will complain about the music i have playing every waking minute… or something… but then again.. maybe they will be awesome.. and have a better music selection than me.. and also have a better bar.. which they will often invite me over to help consume!
i’m very tentative when it comes to neighbours… a good neighbour can become a great friend… and a bad neighbour will just be that guy that puts his garbage out a day late… and then never bring it back in so the animals can rip it apart and make a huge smelly mess…
but then there’s the bad neighbour you think is good… at first… until you realize it’s the tenth time he’s come over for a drink and never brought any booze… or you wake up sunday morning to find him swimmin in yer pool… and his stories aren’t funny anymore… in fact he’s damn annoying… and now YOU have to find a way to politely tell him not to come on your property anymore…
sounds like a Tom Arnold movie….
I think neighbours are great. Bran and I party with the boys downstairs all the time, and we always lend them stuff, and borrow stuff from them. We tell them to shut off their music when they are loud and they bang when we shower at 3 am. But we have tons of fun and thats part of the reason we like livin here! so make friends with your neighbours!
n u forgot the masquerade ball mask thing! hahaha n thanks, i like to think our weird online relationship is quite entertaining…often very funny…n pretty off the wall! we both laugh like idiots! hahaha…n cmon, what isnt fun when someones wearin a santa hat! it was cute, i shoulda took a pic!
Interesting post. It does make one wonder if one misses opportunities but at the same time people are always cool when they are moving away and pursuing their dreams -if more people would let their guard down just a wee bit and allow some sort of “bonding” to occur the human race would certainly benefit collectively.
Hey, maybe your new neighbour will be a little old grandma that’s hard of hearing, and plays her Lawrence Welk (elevator) music real loud.LOL.
